Christ Walked This Earth, And His Footprints Shall Renew It
The trails of grace The Lord left, act as divine dust from Heaven, which will be stirred up to renew the face of the earth.
Christ walked this earth and His footprints shall renew it. We deem The Holy Land, “Holy Land” because God Himself in the flesh walked on the soil. The trails of grace The Lord left, act as divine dust from Heaven, which will be stirred up to renew the face of the earth.
If the land Christ walked on is called “Holy” how much more holy is the womb that bore Him?
A photo I took in The Holy Land, at the said location where Jesus was walking, and the hemorrhaging woman reached out to touch His cloak, and was cured.
“And behold a woman who was troubled with an issue of blood for twelve years, came behind Him, and touched the hem of His garment.
For she said within herself: If I shall touch only His garment, I shall be healed.
But Jesus turning and seeing her, said: Be of good heart, daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.” - Matthew 9:20-22
We as women, share in the womanhood of Mary. Called to be walking tabernacles containing The Lord within us, we reflect The Mother of God, containing Christ in The Eucharist within us. Anywhere where Christ dwells becomes holy. Holy art thou O soul who receives The Body and Blood of The Lord. Holy is thy being, and holy is thy countenance.
As Christ’s footprints make land Holy, when we allow ourselves to walk with Christ, we become unified with Him. Unification with God means our footsteps become in sync with The Lord. His will becomes our will, four feet walking together in perfect unison. His footsteps sanctify ours, thus making everywhere we tread with The Lord holy. This is actively doing God’s will. Walking the path of righteousness and allowing every step we take to be a step taken along the pathway to Heaven.
The world will become transformed as we walk step by step with and alongside Christ; because everywhere that Christ walks, is irrevocably holy. This is a holiness that transforms and permeates into the deepest fibers of our being. This is holiness that transforms lives and compels one to make great sacrifices for the greater good and greater glory.
Today, I went to The Rorate Caeli Mass, my favorite Mass of the year second only to Easter Sunday. The Rorate Caeli is a Votive Mass for Our Lady.
“The Rorate Mass takes its name from the opening words of the Introit, which comes to us from Isaiah 45:8: “Rorate, caeli, desuper, et nubes pluant justum, aperiatur terra, et germinet Salvatorem.”
“Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain the just: let the earth be opened and bud forth a Savior.”
The Rorate Caeli Mass is lit only by candlelight, and white vestments are worn in honor of The Blessed Virgin, instead of violet, which is worn during normal masses in the liturgical season of Advent. The readings and prayers of the Mass foretell the prophecy of the Virgin who would bear a Son called Emmanuel, and call on all to raise the gates of their hearts and their societies to let Christ the King enter; asking for the grace to receive eternal life by the merits of the Incarnation and saving Resurrection of Our Lord.
“The Rorate Caeli Mass is normally celebrated right before dawn, the warm rays of the winter sun slowly light up the church. If timed correctly, by the end of Mass the entire church is filled with light by the sun. This speaks of the general theme of Advent, a time of expectation eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Son of God, the Light of the World.” - Source : "The Rorate Caeli Mass : An Advent Tradition Honoring Our Lady
As we find ourselves in the midst of the Advent season, let us eagerly await the coming King; and let us prepare our feet to walk alongside Him, and together we shall renew the face of the earth.
