Jesus, I Trust In You
The phrase “Jesus, I Trust in You” gives strength to the weary soul. Like the wind beneath the wings of a bird; confidence in our Savior produces miracles.
Worrying about the future is fruitless worry without grace.
1. The scenario you are worried about may never happen.
2. If it does happen, to worry about it before you walk through it, is to torture yourself with something God has not yet given you the grace to deal with.
When Jesus asks us to carry a certain cross, He always makes available the sufficient grace we need in order to carry that cross and rely on His strength.
If you look back on your life I’m sure you can find a moment or two where you have said something along the lines of “The only way I made it through that, was by the grace of God.” God gives us sufficient grace in our moment of need. Therefore, why worry about something you haven’t yet been asked to carry? Fruitless worry without grace does nothing but harm our souls and shows our lack of trust in God.
“Behold the birds of the air, for they neither sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns: and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not you of much more value than they?"
- Matthew 6:26
Worrying and being anxious about the future is fruitless worry without grace. God gives sufficient grace in our time of need. “All worry is atheism because it is a want of trust in God.” - Venerable Fulton Sheen
What a powerful statement from Venerable Fulton Sheen :
“All worry is atheism, because it is a want of trust in God.”
Scripture says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
One of the sweetest feelings in life is to be given the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. A tangible sign of God’s presence, the peace of The Lord keeps our minds and hearts safe within a haven of perfect heavenly peace.
Photo I took while watching the sunrise over the Sea of Galilee in the Holy Land, where Jesus walked on water and performed many miracles. One of the most beautiful, and peaceful moments of my entire life.
Instead of giving into worry, we should be praying for the peace of The Lord that surpasses all understanding to be given unto us. May the phrase “Jesus, I Trust in You” always be upon our lips and imprinted in our hearts.
The phrase “Jesus, I Trust in You” gives strength to the weary soul. Like the wind beneath the wings of a bird; confidence in our Savior produces miracles. He’s carried us this far, and He will continue to carry us, even when all seems lost and dismal. The dawn of The Resurrection lies ahead, and our future will be resplendent.
“Those who sincerely say ‘Jesus, I trust in You’ will find comfort in all their anxieties and fears. There is nothing that man needs more than Divine Mercy – that love which is benevolent, which is compassionate, which raises man above his weakness to the infinite heights of the holiness of God.” - Pope John Paul II
