Life Is A Gift
Today is my 24th birthday, and I’m thanking God for the gift of my life. We thank God for a lot of things, but how often do we thank Him for the gift of our life?
Today is my 24th birthday, and I’m thanking God for the gift of my life. We thank God for a lot of things, but how often do we thank Him for the gift of our life? We all know that we live in an anti-life culture. A culture that disregards and seeks to steal the beautiful gift of life. Do you ever just thank God for being alive? Having your five senses? Being able to take a breath? Making it out of the womb?
We tend to not appreciate what we are blessed with until we are threatened with it leaving us. - I don’t know about you, but I refuse to live like that. Every day is a gift from above, and we shouldn’t wait until our birthday to celebrate the beautiful wonderful gift of being alive. Rather our birthday should be a reminder to celebrate and thank God every single day for the gift of our life.
Giving thanks increases blessings. The real blessing is the perspective change that comes from giving thanks in all circumstances. May unceasing praise and thankfulness ever be on our lips.
Praise God for the laundry, that means you have clean clothes.
Praise God for the dishes, that means you have food to eat.
Praise God for the sound of the alarm, you’re alive to see another day.
Praise God in all things.
Why save the pretty dress for a special occasion? Isn’t being alive special enough? Why save things for tomorrow if tomorrow may never come? The present moment is all we have got, so let’s give thanks to God and make the absolute best of it.
Your life is a gift, you were willed into existence by The Living and True God. Therefore your life is good, your life is needed, and your life is a blessing. There are so many lives that you can touch by saying “yes” to God and living out the purpose for which you have been created.
Thanks be to God for the gift of my life. I am basking in thankfulness and gratefulness for the beautiful blessed life God has given me.
Here’s to 24. Another year older, another year wiser; and God-willing many more words to come. Cheers.
Serviam.
