The Joy of The Lord is My Strength
If our joy lies in The Lord, we have joy that can never be taken from us, despite whatever hardships we may find ourselves in the middle of.
Our joy cannot be determined by circumstances; nor in people, places, or things, but rather in The Lord Jesus Christ.
If our joy is dependent upon fleeting things, our joy will flee from us as well. But if our joy lies in The Lord, we have joy that can never be taken from us, despite whatever hardships we may find ourselves in the middle of. God is ruler of all, therefore the joy that God gives triumphs over all.
“We are The Easter people and Alleluia is our song.” - Pope John Paul II
This was placed on my heart before I found out some shocking news. I’ve been experiencing pain in my ring finger for some months. I figured I just had arthritis or maybe damaged a nerve, because I’m a writer and constantly typing and writing. I went to urgent care, and got referred to a hand specialist, who told me that I have a benign (non-cancerous thanks be to God) rare tumor called a Glomus Tumor in my ring finger nail bed. I will be having an MRI on May 20th, and I ask if you can please pray that the MRI results confirm that the tumor is benign and nothing serious, or even better, completely gone! Ultimately, I will be having surgery on my finger in which my nail will be removed to take out the tumor from underneath my nail-bed.
I am very squeamish when it comes to the doctors, I can barely get my blood drawn normally without feeling woozy. I ask if you may also pray for me to remain calm during all of these appointments, procedures, and surgery, so I do not pass out.
I am confident that all will be well with me and I know that Jesus will heal me of this tumor. I have a lot of work to do for The Lord, and His Most Holy Mother.
Please keep me in your prayers. Remember that the Joy of The Lord is our strength! Joy found in the Lord cannot be taken from you. Despite whatever circumstances you find yourself in, we all have crosses God asks us to carry. We must resign ourselves to the Will of God, and offer up our suffering and pain, for the greater good and the greater glory.
Onwards.
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” - John 14:27
May God Bless you all.
